G is for Gait Plates

Correcting the gait of your youngest patients is important to their development. Custom orthotics such as gait plates provide a non-surgical option that offers easy compliance for the patient (and parents, too).

Gait plates are available as medial or lateral extension of the distal end of the shell. The extension is angulated appropriately to promote either in-toe walking or out-toe walking.

Adult patients can benefit from gait plates, too. A valgus tip post to promote out-toe walking and a varus tip post to promote in-toe walking.
