The premise of this paper is to determine the basal pressure measurements of the anatomical compartments of the foot. This will also serve to identify the closed compartments of the foot. A reliable diagnostic indicator has been established for the evaluation and treatment of certain diseases such as Volkman’s ischemic contracture, compartment syndrome of the foot, and chronic heel and arch pain in the absence of osseous or neurologic findings.
